Boker Plus V-42 Devil’s Brigade Tactical Knife

During World War II in 1942, an elite American-Canadian band of soldiers was created in order to fight covertly behind enemy lines. The group was called the 1st Special Service Force but was also known as The Devil’s Brigade. Since the group was formed in 1942, many other special forces have been formed and inspired by the legendary unit.

One of the integral pieces of equipment used by the soldiers was the V-42 tactical knife (now known as the Devil’s Brigade knife). Designed with stealth and close-quarters combat in mind, the V-42 is a double-edge blade made of SK-85 carbon steel with black coating. The handle is made of compressed leather discs and features a pointed impact cap on the butt.

You also get a part of history with the knife. The crest of the Special Forces of the U.S. Army is emblazoned on the blade and the knife comes with a replica of the cloth insignia of the unit and a sticker with the words “The worst is yet to come!” in German. That’s what they used to put behind enemy lines to lower the morale of the enemy.
